The Bikery is recruiting new board members!
We are recruiting board members to fill seats serving through March 2026. These are exciting volunteer roles in which you can think strategically about the long-term vision for our community-based bike organization.
Responsibilities
Attend at least 80% of scheduled meetings each year.
Commit 2-6 hours per month to in-person and virtual meetings, phone, Slack, and email coordination with other board members and leads.
Read, analyze and provide feedback on any paperwork and correspondence regarding legal responsibilities, administration, and overall program support.
Contribute to development of policy documentation and strategic planning within a policy governance framework, which we hope the right candidates are interested in learning (it’s not hard, promise).
Engage with the leads and Bikery community in an authentic and transparent way, and share power and decisions with the leads team.
Desired Qualifications
Interest in long-term planning including fundraising and program development
Commitment to race and gender inclusivity in cycling
Community engagement or non-profit experience
Experience in the legal or bike industry (optional)

The Nominations Committee will convene between February 14th - 18th, and membership will have the opportunity to vote between February 19th and March 3rd.
